How hard can it be?

How hard can it be?

Dream Job, is a comedy documentary that gives a unique and humorous perspective on women in the action sports industry.

The small town of Revelstoke, BC, is home to some of the biggest players in the mountain industry.  Here we find three local leaders who have each contributed to levelling the playing field in the male-dominated big-mountain industry in a way that is uniquely female.

Diny Harrison, the ‘Pioneer’, is the first certified female mountain guide in Canada. Christina Lustenberger, the ‘Extreme Skier’, is known for her first descents and big lines. Leah Evans, the ‘Community Builder’, is a professional skier and entrepreneur who single-handedly created one of the strongest communities of female skiers the sport has ever seen.

Comedian Katie Burrell challenges herself to “keep up” with these exceptional female leaders which presents a humorous contrast and emphasizes the achievements of these women.

Colleen rocks. On a compressed schedule, between meetings, she both photographed and video-recorded our team. The photos were evocative. She edited the video into an informative, engaging and fun snippet that we immediately posted to the site. Professional, focused, flexible, and warm spirit. RECOMMENDED without reservation!

We worked with Colleen recently to create the video for our BoostR (think kickstarter but local) campaign. I hadn’t met Colleen before but trusted a friend’s recommendation and was so happy with the result. Colleen had a way of speaking with people and helping to grab the right story throughout the shoot. Very efficient and professional and a great communicator. I would highly recommend Colleen and Laundromat Studios. They are our go to content production partner now.

I got to work with Colleen when she was shooting for Branded Magazine. She immediately put me at ease and was able to help bring out the real me and my story through video. I’ve been lucky to work with several people in the video / photo industry and can say that Colleen has a gift for understanding one’s story and then brining it out through the chosen medium. Authentic, easy-going, and very professional.

I’d strongly recommend her for any video / photo needs you have!

I first met Colleen at The Gathering, a marketing conference held in Banff Alberta. Colleen and I were both tasked with providing video coverage of this event.

Colleen was polite, professional, and proficient. If there was an opportunity to help out by getting another angle or by collaborating on some shot ideas she was there.

Colleen was great to work with and I recommend her work to anyone looking for high quality video production.
